We’re now waiting for the release of WordPress  3.0. As you may know, the WordPress team is merging WordPress MU and WordPress into one code base. This will eliminate WordPress MU. This means that some of the features we’ve created in WPMultiSite may no longer be needed. How ever since the focus of WordPress MU and WPMultiSite are very different we should be able to focus on the more important aspects of our product.

WPMultiSite was created for people (usually consultants) that are creating many sites (usually for customers) that are each using a different domain name. The main goals are:

• Rapid Deployment
• Reduce Maintenance
• Increase Reliability
• Reduce Costs
